a solid substance resembling beeswax but composed entirely of hydrocarbons. It is obtained from the crude wax that results from the solvent dewaxing or cold pressing of light paraffin distillates. The refined product is of relatively large crystalline structure, is white and brittle, and has little taste or odor.
