A technique for increasing the flow of oil from a well by the use of a quantity of acid pumped downhole and into the rock formation. Hydrochloric acid is pumped or forced under high pressure into a time stone formation which dissolves the limestone, enlarging the cavity and increasing the surface area of the hole opposite the producing formation. The high pressure of the treatment also forces the acid into cracks and fissures enlarging them and resulting in an increased flow of oil into the well bore.
