A technique for increasing the flow of oil from a well by the use of a quantity of acid pumped downhole and into the rock formation. Hydrochloric acid is pumped or forced under high pressure into a time stone formation which dissolves the limestone, enlarging the cavity and increasing the surface area of the hole opposite the producing formation.
